We all need a bit of extra cash at the minute. Thanks to the current economic situation, a lot of us have felt the squeeze on our finances….
As a single mum, we are often trying to survive on one income, some of us are limited to the amount of hours we can work out of the home due to childcare/ school runs etc and It can be bloody tough going!

It opened my eyes to so many new possibilities and I have explored so many different avenues to try and bring in some more cash.
I have spent years trying out various side hustles, some were quite lucrative, but not sustainable for me, some just didn’t work for me and others have literally transformed my life!
Obviously you need to be a little bit careful not to get sucked into any get rich quick schemes, there are so many people out there who will try to convince you that if you spent £1000 on their start up fees, you will be a millionaire next month…
THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN… DON’T FALL FOR THEM!
Those companies prey on single mums or stay at home parents as they know we are often in need of some extra cash!
But, I am sure you are more than capable of recognising those schemes by now.
As Single mums are earning power can often feel very limited… but that is so untrue!
There are so many ways you can start earning extra cash today. We have been programmed for so long to believe that the only way we can earn money is to work our buts off in a job we don’t enjoy and just be happy that we can put food on the table.

As you rightly stated, these side hustles aren’t limited to single moms/women either (although they are your primary audience and you write for them.) Proofreading and podcasting are the favorite ones for me from this list.

Such great ideas and ones I have never thought of before! I’ve always thought monetising what we have to do regularly as mums is a great money earner. I’ve always fancied being a professional organiser, but I’ve done a lot of proofreading my teen’s work recently, so maybe I could think of that!
I used to do cake and cookie decorating pre covid, but the money earned was nowhere near the hours I put in. This works well as long as you keep the fun hobby part of it in your mind!

It was easy to do of an evening and it meant i got first look at some fantastic books, whilst getting paid- win win!
